FAQs

Interior design fees are based on the scope, scale, and complexity of the project. As a general industry guideline, clients typically invest 20–25% of their construction budget in full service interior design to ensure a cohesive, well-executed result. Final fee structure is confirmed after the project scope is determined. Please keep in mind you may be required to onboard additional consultants such as an architect, structural engineer, mechanical and electrical engineers depending on the scope of your project. These fees will vary depending on the complexity of the scope and will be assessed on a project-to-project basis.

The overall timeline of an interior design project depends on the scope, scale, and complexity of the work. Most projects move through five key phases, some of which overlap:
PHASE 01 / Project Initiation & Planning
Typically 2–4 weeks
This phase focuses on understanding your goals, defining the scope, establishing budgets, preliminary schematic planning and setting the foundation for the design.
PHASE 02 / Design Development
Typically 4–6 weeks
During this phase, the design concept is developed, refined, and approved, including layouts, material selections, and overall direction.
Phase 3 – Construction Documentation
Typically 4–6 weeks
Detailed drawings and documentation are prepared to support accurate pricing, approvals, and construction.
PHASE 04 / Construction Administration
Timeline depends on the construction schedule
Construction timelines can range from approximately 3 months to 2 years, depending on the size and complexity of the project. During this phase, we work closely with the contractor to ensure the design is executed as intended.
PHASE 05 / Furnishings & Styling
Runs concurrently with construction
Furnishings and styling typically require up to 6 months from initial selections through ordering, delivery, and on-site installation, allowing for production and shipping lead times.
